About the space

  • Our space can accommodate up to 50 people standing, 24 people seated at tables, 15 yoga mats, or 60 chairs in rows.

  • The venue includes a fully equipped kitchen, two guest toilets, flexible seating arrangements, and audio-visual equipment including a 75" TV. Additional amenities like yoga mats and art supplies can be arranged upon request.

  • In the center of Madrid, in the neighbourhood of Lavapiés, at Calle del Oso 19. The closest metro station are Tirso de Molina and La Latina.

  • There is no parking in the building. The closest parking is Aparcamiento Cascorro or Parking Embajadores 35.

About “We Are Not Square”

  • These are our signature wellness and creative events, which include yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound baths, and more. Check out our events page for upcoming sessions.

  • This name represents our community: people who feel like they do not fit into a single box, who feel restricted by rigid societal norms and who want to embrace their own unique shape (literally and figuratively!).

    When someone is described as a "square", it usually means they are unadventurous, do not like new ideas, are conventional, mainstream and rigid. We are all about exploring new ideas, doing creative activities, diving into personal growth trends, pushing the boundaries of what we know in order to learn new things. We are not square.

  • Everyone is welcome to participate, whether you are a beginner or experienced. We make sure our events cater to all levels unless specifies otherwise. However, there are some contraindications. If you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, or are undergoing treatment with strong psychotropic medication, it is recommended not to attend. If you have any doubts, contact us so we can discuss it.

  • You can join any of our events by signing up through our website’s event page. Space is limited, so we recommend booking early.

  • Absolutely! Our venue is perfect for yoga instructors, artists, and wellness practitioners looking for a flexible, intimate space to host their own events. Reach out to us via the contact form to ask for more information.

  • We provide yoga mats and yoga blocks for wellness events. If you have specific needs, please let us know in advance.

Venue rental

  • Our space is open to anyone who is looking to host a private or public event. To date, we have rented to companies, artists, authors, yoga and wellness professionals, restauranteurs, entrepreneurs. With each new request we expand our scope - if you are interested, reach out to us to find out more!

  • We host a variety of events, including private gatherings, corporate events, yoga retreats, art workshops, wine tastings, team-building activities, recipe tasting, cocktail parties and more. While the events we offer are on the themes of wellness and creativity, this does not need to be case for events hosted by external parties. Reach out to us to find out more!

  • We offer catering, if you are interested please indicate this in your booking form. You are also welcome to bring your own catering, we have a kitchen available for your use and can recommend local caterers if needed.

  • We do not have an alcohol license. You can serve your guests alcohol at your private events for free, but you cannot receive payment from attendees in exchange for an alcoholic beverage.

  • The venue is available for rent during both weekdays and weekends. Please inquire about specific time slots based on your event needs.

Booking & payment

  • To book the venue, please fill out our booking form or contact us directly via email. We will confirm availability and work with you to plan the details of your event.

  • Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to schedule a site visit so you can tour the space and discuss your event in person.

  • We recommend booking at least 1-2 months in advance, especially for weekends, to secure your preferred date.

  • While we have standard rates per hour or day of venue rental, we adapt each proposal depending on the type of event, the duration, and any additional services you may need. Please reach out to us for a custom quote.

  • Cancellations made 14 days before the day of the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 3 days before the event will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 3 days before the event will not receive a refund.

  • No, we ask for full payment upfront to secure your booking. NOTE: We take an additional 200 EUR hold on your credit card that is released after your event, in the case of any damages to the property. This includes damages to the walls or breaking any items in the space.

  • Yes, changes to your booking can be made depending on availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to make adjustments.

  • We process our payments via our payment provider Stripe. Stripe accepts payments via credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal.
